THOUGHT: April 23, 2020
In my work as a domestic lawyer during the early part of my legal career, I learned quickly that there is a core-deep sadness infecting women whose husbands have been unfaithful to them. It was a breach of trust that was nearly impossible to restore. It was heartbreaking to observe.

It is very important for us lawyers to remain good Christians under every circumstance. The time will come when we will account for all of our actions, and we will not be given a pass for bad conduct because we were allegedly doing our adversarial job as a lawyer.

Success as an attorney has little to do with your current storehouse of legal knowledge. Success comes primarily from acting civilly in a professional way toward others, interacting amicably with your own clients, effectively communicating your thoughts and ideas to others, coping properly with the stresses associated with legal work, and continuously pursuing various areas of learning. You can do all of those things without citing a single case or statute.
THOUGHT: October 3, 2021
Our constitution works only for a virtuous citizenry. The constitution is holding up at least as well as our collective virtue as a nation. The most serious threat to our constitution is an immoral people.
THOUGHT: May 10, 2022
I read the well-written draft of the opinion by the U. S. Supreme Court that overrules Roe vs. Wade. If the draft continues to be upheld and issued, then perhaps the repulsive conduct and consequent divine curse that has hung over this country since Roe v. Wade will begin to be lifted in part.
